Tamagrams was an idea first conceived by Tamara Brown while she was a senior in high school. Nearly a decade later in April 2008, Tamagrams was born and has maintained Tamara's creative spirit and highlighted her passion for blending community and connectivity.

There are many influences throughout Tamara's life that prompted her to begin mixing her passion with paper. Being raised by a single mom who possesses a passion for art, the passion was passed to her at a very young age. The days of exploring with watercolors and acrylics on the kitchen table were part of the foundation on which Tamagrams has been built.

The entrepreneur spirit was first revealed by Tamara just after graduating college when she started a company hand-painting wooden sandals. Though experiencing some success, Tamara went on to pursue a career among the corporate world in building material sales. It was a great learning experience, but after several years the seeds planted as a young girl brought her back to her roots. She was created to be creative, and her expression is revealed through each of her designs.

Tamagrams are intended to bring color to communication in the gray age of emails and text messages. Growing up in Charleston, SC, many of Tamara's designs reflect a coastal Southern influence that consist of shades of teal, green, and soft neutrals.

Tamara has a love for meaningful conversations at a cozy cafe while sipping on an over-caffeinated whipped sugary frothy latte, fashionable teal accessories, traveling to new places and unwrapping a new adventure at every street corner, an appreciation for true friendship that encourages and strengthens the soul, the joyful sound of her daughter's laughter, and looking for the beauty in everything.

Tamara, her husband Taylor, and daughter McKenna live in Greer, South Carolina. Taylor has always encouraged Tamara to spread her wings and pursue her passions, while McKenna's life serves as a big source of inspiration in her designs.
